A champion of the Thames

Cambria made her first appearance in the Thames Sailing Barge Match since 1955 on Saturday, 23rd July, and came first in the coasting class section, her first win since 1938. Today is our day

On Monday 21st March, 2011, The Cambria is to be relaunched into Faversham Creek, shortly after mid-day. She will then secure just downstream at Iron Wharf to complete fitting-out. This is a very important milestone in our restoration, as the barge nears the completion of all the work over the last three and a half years. It will be the first time that the Cambria will be in the water for over fifteen years. ...
